Annual Support in the Community

This year, we have been honoured to volunteer for and sponsor events such as; GPHSF’s Butterfly Run, Five Counties Backyard BBQ, Cyle for Change, Pulling for Dementia, Hearts for Joy, Tee up for Hospice, Survivors Abreast, Junior Achievement Financial Literacy Programs and the Princess Margaret  Ride to Conquer Cancer.

We also have made charitable contributions to groups that have been there for our clients over the years, including PRHC, The Peterborough Humane Society, CMHA, Alzheimer Society, Hearts for Joy, Campfire Circle, LAWS, Peterborough New Horizon Band, Liftlock Band, 4th Line Theatre and Westben Theatre.

CMHA HKPR

Pyle Wealth Advisory has long supported the CMHA through sponsorships and volunteering. This year, Andrew Pyle was a proud recipient of the Maurice Lovnes award. The CMHA HKPR Maurice Lovnes Award recognizes exceptional volunteers who have demonstrated vision, dedication, caring, support, and commitment to the Canadian Mental Heal Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge. This award honours individuals who have made significant contributions to improving mental health in their community. 

4th Line Theatre - Continued Sponsorship

4th Line Theatre has been bringing history to life on its' barnyard stages in Millbrook, Ontario for over 30 years. This outdoor theatre company is committed to preserving our Canadian cultural heritage through the development and presentation of original plays based on regional history and culture. Pyle Wealth Advisory has long supported this not-for-profit organization through years of sponsorship and event hosting. Ally Pyle is also a proud member of the board of directors, holding the position of Vice Chair, and assisting the company in reaching it's goals and aspirations. 

Pulling for Dementia 2024

Pyle Wealth Advisory and CIBC Wood Gundy put a team together to raise money to support the Alzheimer Society Peterborough Kawartha Lakes Northumberland & Haliburton programs and services. The team raised the second highest amount for donations and pulled the fire truck in a time of 21.91 seconds. 

Peterborough Petes Alumni Golf Tournament 2024

Andrew has been a proud sponsor of the Peterborough Petes OHL team for years. This year, he participated in the annual Alumni golf tournament, playing with other business owners and sponsors, while supporting one of our favourite local sports teams.

Charity Golf Tournament 2024 - Down Syndrome Foundation

On Sunday, August 18, 2024, Andrew sponsored multiple holes and played in the annual Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Down Syndrome Foundation. The Down Syndrome Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to promoting societal inclusion and empowering people with Down syndrome.

Be A Saint 2024

Andrew and Ally were pleased to sponsor and participate in the 4th annual Be A Saint golf tournament put on by by St. Joseph's at Fleming to raise funds for enhancing the safety, comfort, and care for Peterborough’s most vulnerable seniors. All proceeds go towards upgrading St. Joseph’s infrastructure which needs work since the long-term care home is over 20 years old. It also funds replacing aging equipment and vital programs and services.

Change the Cycle 2024

Andrew was honoured to sponsor the Change the Cycle event to help raise money for youth and family mental health programs. This event is not just about cycling; it's about supporting the mental health of our youth and families. The funds raised will be directed towards programs that address various aspects of mental health, including counseling services, educational resources, and community support programs. These initiatives are designed to empower individuals and families across all regions served by the CMHA HKPR, ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight for mental health for all.

Ride to Conquer Cancer 2024

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is Canada’s largest and most impactful cycling fundraiser. All proceeds directly benefit The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. Each year it brings thousands together to help accelerate life-saving cancer research. While each Rider has their own reason for riding, we are all heading towards the same goal: Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime. There are multiple Ride routes to choose from and cyclists of all levels are encouraged to join.

Andrew joined with team CIBC riding the 2-day route and helping to contribute to their goal of $175,000 which they surpassed, raising over $189,000!

Tebey Golf Classic 2024

Ally was proud to sponsor a hole in this year's Tebey Golf Classic. The annual Tebey Golf Classic raises funds in partnership with GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation, to support youth mental health programming across the Peterborough region. Funds raised support Youth Mental Health programming through Peterborough Youth Services and YES Shelter for Youth and Families.

Kawartha String Orchestra

Pyle Wealth Advisory was proud to sponsor the Kawartha String Orchestra’s Innovation and Tradition concert, which was in support of the Yes Shelter for Youth & Families.

Peterborough Butterfly Run 2024

We were proud to continue our sponsorship of the annual Peterborough Butterfly Run. The rain stayed away as over 1000 people came out for the event to participate in the 1KM Kids Fun Run, 1KM Memorial Walk or the 5KM Run/Walk. With a goal of $40,000, the event raised over $92,000! Every one of those 1000 plus participants, plus many more supporters and volunteers, were there to show their support for friends, family, co-workers, and even people they’ve never met, who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, the loss of a child, or are unable to conceive.

Support for the Community

Andrew Pyle and the Pyle Wealth Advisory team has always been mindful of how important it is to give, not just over the holidays but all days of the year. The very best hospitals rely on the generosity of many donors from all walks of life. It's vital that our health care professionals have access to the equipment and technology they need to provide great care to every patient, every day. Andrew Pyle and Pyle Wealth Advisory is pleased to continue our support of the PRHC Foundation every year.

Every December, the Pyle Wealth Advisory team has enjoyed donating to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society. The team at LAWS does an amazing job caring for the cats and dogs who so desperately need a home and we are proud to be a supporter.

CMHA promotes the mental health of everyone and supports the resiliency and recovery of those experiencing mental illness. Andrew Pyle and Pyle Wealth Advisory is proud to donate to their programs to help aid the CMHA in continuing to provide the valuable programs and services they offer.

The Pyle Wealth Advisory team has regularly donated to the Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton Alzheimer Society. Local Alzheimer Societies help people in their region--both those living with dementia and their care partners--manage all aspects of living with Alzheimers or a related dementia. They provide numerous services including education, support services, recreational programming and fundraising in the community.

Pyle Wealth Advisory donates to the Peterborough Humane Society every year. Through the support of their donors, Peterborough Humane Society can continue to feed, shelter, and provide veterinary care for over 1600 animals each year and we are honoured to be a part of it.

Pulling For Dementia

Andrew Pyle, Ally Pyle and the team were honoured to be able to put a team together with rest of the Peterborough CIBC Wood Gundy branch to raise money and awareness for dementia. The 7th annual fire truck pull took place September 22nd, 2023, at the AON Citi Centre. 

More than 10 teams participated in the pull, raising over $10,000 towards their goal! All proceeds will support the Alzheimer Society Peterborough Kawartha Lakes Northumberland & Haliburton programs and services. 

Peterborough Butterfly Run 

Ally Pyle and the Pyle Group are proud to once again sponsor and take part in this years Peterborough Butterfly Run. The run took place on April 30th, 2023 at Millennium Park, the first live run in 4 years!

Over 1000 people came out for the run to participate in the 1KM Kids Fun Run, 1KM Memorial Walk or 5KM Run/Walk. The event raised over $100,000 making it the highest grossing Peterborough Butterfly Run since its inception in 2017.

Funds raised from the event have been used to provide ongoing specialized education in Perinatal Bereavement Care to healthcare providers across Peterborough City and County, establish lending libraries for individuals and their families, as well as the development of bereavement kits for families and individuals who experience early and later pregnancy and infant loss. Since 2018, more than 500 bereavement kits have been provided to families and individuals by health care providers in the community and the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC).

CMHA - Change the Cycle 

Andrew Pyle and The Pyle Group are proud to sponsor the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge's (CMHA HKPR) Change the Cycle Event that took place at Nichols Oval on June 24th, 2023. The event raised funds and mental health awareness for the CMHA's Garden Homes Project. 

This year the Change the Cycle raised a total of $40,213.11. The Garden Homes Project is a new initiative of Supportive Housing that aims to support vulnerable individuals who are at risk of homelessness in the Peterborough area by providing affordable, small homes. 

Holiday giving 

This holiday season Andrew Pyle and the Pyle Group have made a donation on behalf of all of our clients to a number of charities this year; The Canadian Mental Health Association - building small homes to house the vulnerable, Peterborough Regional health Centre Foundation - Oncology, Five Counties Children Centre - speech and language program, The Alzheimer's Society as well as the Peterborough Humane Society and the Lakefield Animal Shelter.

Supporting Junior Achievement

The Pyle Group recently became one of the first founders of the Junior Achievement and Eastern Ontario (JA NEO) Legacy Fund. Our contribution will help maintain the strength of JA NEO's legacy/endowment fund.

Proud supporter of Pink in the Rink

The Pyle Group is proud to once again sponsor this year's Pink in the Rink game in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. This year a total of $76,952.18 was raised during the 13th annual Pink in the Rink game that took place on Saturday April 9th, 2022.
